Safety Orientation: Construction Training | Video & Program (English & Spanish)

Our Safety Orientation (Construction Version) training course gives new construction employees a solid foundation in workplace safety before they set foot on a jobsite. Working in construction brings daily exposure to serious hazards — whether you're a painter, carpenter, electrician, plumber, or roofer, equipment like forklifts, aerial lifts, bulldozers, excavators, and backhoes is a constant presence, and every worker needs to understand the characteristics and movements of machinery around them, even without hands-on operator training. Employers must have safety programs in place to protect workers from unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous conditions, and the first step in any safety program is solid training. This 19-minute course builds the right safety attitude from day one and introduces new hires to the most common hazards they'll encounter on a construction site. Note that additional, topic-specific training is recommended for many of the areas introduced in this course — this orientation is a starting point, not a substitute for in-depth training on fall protection, confined spaces, trenching, or other specialized topics.
