Yes. This course covers the training requirements of OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030 — the Bloodborne Pathogens standard. Please note that OSHA also requires a written Exposure Control Plan specific to your workplace, which must be developed separately by your organization and updated annually. We provide a basic Exposure Control Plan within our Documentation of this training program.

How often is bloodborne pathogens training required?

OSHA requires initial training at the time of employment and annual refresher training thereafter for all employees with occupational exposure. Training must also be provided whenever new tasks or procedures affect the employee's occupational exposure.
