Our Aerial & Scissor Lifts (MEWP) Training Requirements course helps employers, supervisors, and safety managers understand their obligations under the updated ANSI 92.24 MEWP standard, which took effect June 1, 2020. Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) — including boom lifts, scissor lifts, and stock pickers — provide safer access to elevated workplaces, but improper use poses serious risks. This program details who must be trained, what training must cover, who is responsible for conducting it, and how records must be maintained. Available in English and Spanish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this training satisfy ANSI MEWP requirements?

Yes. This course is designed to assist in meeting the training requirements of the ANSI 92.24 MEWP standard, which took effect June 1, 2020. Please note that the standard also requires equipment-specific familiarization to be conducted at the worksite, which must be completed separately by a qualified trainer.

What is the difference between this course and the Aerial & Scissor Lifts Safe Use course?

This course focuses specifically on ANSI 92.24 training requirements — who must be trained, what content must be covered, who is responsible, and how records are kept. It is designed for employers, supervisors, and HR managers. The Safe Use course covers the actual operation of MEWPs and is designed for the operators themselves. Many organizations purchase both.

Does this subscription automatically renew?

Yes. This is a prepaid subscription that automatically renews at the end of each term at the then-current price unless canceled. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account portal.

What's the difference between Streaming, MP4, USB, and DVD?

Streaming gives you instant online access from any device — no download required. MP4 is a one-time download you host on your own platform such as an LMS, file server, or SharePoint. USB and DVD are physical media shipped to you, best for classroom training where internet access is limited or unavailable.

If I purchase the USB, can I copy the video to share with others?

No. The video on the USB is encrypted and licensed to only be played from the USB. It must be inserted in your computer for it to play.

What documentation is provided for compliance recordkeeping?

The kit includes a compliance manual, employee quiz and answer key, completion certificates, wallet/ID cards, an attendance log, a training outline, and MEWP supplemental documents — everything needed to document that training requirements were met.

How do I access the Documentation on the DVD?

You will need to access the DVD with a computer so you can browse to the Documentation folder.
