Many employers will need at least one new state poster in 2027. Fifteen states raise their minimum wage on January 1, 2027, Alaska follows on July 1, and Oregon and the District of Columbia adjust the same day. Connecticut, Maryland and Virginia add or expand notice requirements during the year. A few states have already released their 2027 posters; most publish in November or December, and we update this page as they do.

Most states publish a new minimum wage poster when the rate changes, often in November or December, so many 2027 posters are not out yet. Each entry below shows the status as of our last review. Arizona
- 2027 minimum wage: Announced: $15.65 on January 1, 2027 (Industrial Commission of Arizona), up from $15.15. Tipped employers may still take up to a $3.00 tip credit.

- 2027 minimum wage: Announced: $17.40 on January 1, 2027 (Department of Industrial Relations), up from $16.90. That makes the minimum salary for most exempt employees $72,384 a year.
- 2027 poster updates: Pending: the Department of Industrial Relations has not posted its 2027 minimum wage order yet. Employers post the statewide minimum wage order next to the industry wage order for their workplace.

Colorado

- 2027 minimum wage: $15.00 since September 30, 2026, and $11.98 for tipped employees (FloridaCommerce). It stays $15.00 through December 31, 2027; the first inflation-adjusted rate takes effect January 1, 2028. No change in 2027.

Nebraska
- 2027 minimum wage: Set in law: LB 258 (2026) replaced the inflation formula with a 1.75% yearly increase, which takes the rate from $15.00 to $15.26 on January 1, 2027 (Nebraska Department of Labor). Employers may pay $13.50 to workers aged 14 and 15, and a 90-day training wage of $13.70 to new workers aged 16 to 19.

New York
- 2027 minimum wage: No change on January 1, 2027: an economic off-ramp in state law was triggered, so the rate stays $17.00 in New York City, Long Island and Westchester and $16.00 elsewhere. Pending: the Governor has proposed an inflation increase on March 1, 2027, which needs legislative approval. The home care aide minimum wage does rise on January 1, 2027.

Virginia
- 2027 minimum wage: Set in law: $13.75 on January 1, 2027, up from $12.77, and $15.00 on January 1, 2028.

- New for 2027: A statewide paid sick leave law takes effect July 1, 2027 (2026 Acts of Assembly, Chapter 1128), phased in by employer size. Covered employers must post a notice of employee rights; the Department of Labor and Industry is to issue regulations by July 1, 2027.

FAQ
When do I need to replace my state posters for 2027?
Replace a poster when the state issues a new mandatory version. For minimum wage notices that usually means before the new rate takes effect: January 1 in most states, and July 1 in Alaska, Oregon and the District of Columbia. Virginia's paid sick leave notice requirement begins July 1, 2027.
Are the 2027 state posters out yet?
Some are. As of our last review, Arizona, Florida, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, Ohio, South Dakota and Washington had released theirs, and the current posters in Michigan and Nebraska already list the 2027 rates. Most other states publish in November or December, and we update this page as they do.
Which minimum wage applies if my city has its own?
The highest one that applies: federal, state or local.
Does every state require a minimum wage poster?
No. Kansas, Texas and Virginia do not require one, and Montana and South Dakota publish optional minimum wage posters, which are included on our posters. The federal minimum wage poster is required in every state.
Why do some states say pending?
Either the state has not published its 2027 figure or poster yet, or we have not yet confirmed it with the state agency. We'll update this page as states publish that information.
