Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs Lockout Tagout training?

OSHA 1910.147 requires training for "authorized" employees who perform lockout/tagout, "affected" employees who operate machines being serviced, and "other" employees who work in areas where energy-control procedures may be used. Our programs cover the classroom portion only — hands-on demonstrations must be performed by qualified trainers.

How often is retraining required?

Retraining is required whenever there is a change in job assignments, machines, equipment, or processes that present a new hazard, or when a change in energy-control procedures occurs. Retraining is also required when periodic inspections reveal deviations or inadequacies in the employee's knowledge or use of the procedures.

What does each kit include?

HD training video (25-30 min), reproducible PowerPoint Presentation, quiz, answer key, wallet cards, certificates of completion, trainer's guide.
