Labor Laws for 2025

Labor law season is here! Therefore, it is time to prepare for 2025 by making sure your labor law posters are up to date.

At the start of 2025, several new labor laws will take effect. While specific changes vary by state, some of the anticipated updates include minimum wage increases, increased whistleblower protections, and updated paid sick leave policies. 

Looking Back:

2024 was full of new laws and required posters. In fact, there were more than 70 required updates to labor law postings. Lawmakers from coast to coast revised and enacted an abundance of employment laws in 2024. Resulting in an unprecedented number of updates to labor law postings. In addition to the typical Minimum Wage increases, many states passed pay transparency legislation, enhanced discrimination protections, restrictions or bans on non-compete agreements, and increased paid sick leave regulations.

As a result, around forty states updated at least one of their labor law postings in 2024. In fact, twenty-five had more than one revision to their posters this year. Additionally, eight states added brand-new required labor law posters added in 2024.

  • New Hampshire: Veterans’ Benefits and Services
  • Oregon: Captive Audiences
  • Washington DC: Universal Wage Law; Employee Free Choice Act; Wage Transparency Act

Looking Ahead:
